Started in 2024, Massachusetts Property Scanning (MAPS) knew the power of 3D scanning and believed that every property deserves to be marketed appropriately and use this as part of that journey. We are determined to have 3D scanning technology to be used as a standard in real estate. Whether you are a Real Estate Agent posting a listing, a Contractor working on a renovation, a Landlord looking for new tenants, or a homeowner shopping for quotes on work to be done, this technology is incredibly beneficial.
Our Story
With so many listings online, the founder, Alan McDonald, found himself frustrated that some properties he drove an hour to (sometimes longer) were not worth the drive. The layouts were not as it appeared online, and the pictures made the rooms look different. He was annoyed that properties were getting offers before he could coordinate a time to view the houses. His frustration lead him to learn about 3D scanning and realized how impactful it would be for people in his shoes. By using this technology, it allows one to walk through houses virtually and see properties without having to make a trip. Alan, realized how this could help not only people looking to buy, but also the agents, landlords, and contractors. He was determined to make this an industry standard where all properties, listed for sale or for rent, has this as part of their listing.
